Vanderkloof is a town on the shores of the Van Der Kloof Dam in South Africa.
From the N1 at Bloemfontein, turn off to Petrusburg. From there follow the R48 to Koffiefontein, Luckhoff and the on to Vanderkloof dam. Follow the boards. Lat 30Degrees, 49'46"S Long 21 Degrees 12'7"E
The dam wall can be visited, Escom hydro electric plant can be visited. There are wonderful sites from which to view the lake. There are great places from which to take photos.Bird watching, hiking and game drives in the Rolfontein game reserve. Bowling, cycling, skiing, rock climbing, abseiling and bridge swinging can all be done here. The dam stretches 100km up stream so boating,kayaking, angling and camping on the shores of the lake are a perfect way to spend out gorgeous days and nights. A family restaurant which later turns into a fun loving, vibrant pub where old and new gather from the surrounding areas. Dancing, pool playing and general fun and games make for a great place to be. Wonderful view over the lake. Great food. Drinks are always sold ICY cold.
