Red Rock

Red Rock is a scenic town located on the shores of Lake Superior in Northern Ontario. A good spot for outdoor enthusiasts, its rugged cliffs and the Nipigon Bay waters provide opportunities for hunting, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, snowmobiling, and skiing.

Get in

By car

Red Rock is located at the end of Hwy 628, 8 km (five miles) off Highway 11/17 (the Trans-Canada Highway). It is 97km east of Thunder Bay.

By bus

Greyhound stops at "Red Rock Jct" (near the Hwy 11-17/628 crossroads), but it is not a station: There is neither a ticket agent nor services at this location. The closest Greyhound station is the Husky House on Trans-Canada 11/17 (3km W of Nipigon or 15km by road from Red Rock village).

By boat

Red Rock Marina offers fuel, electricity, security, shower, pumpout, and launching.

Nipigon River Adventures (Rd 17 Hwy 628 Red Rock, +1 807 621-6342) operates a lodge. The township of Red Rock has also set aside an area for camping at the Marina park.
