Get in

By rail

The main train station is a fair distance east of the city center. If you are using public transportation to arrive from Vienna, it is recommended to take the S-Bahn S1 or S2 to Liesing, and then transfer to Bus 256. Alternatively, you can take streetcar number 60 to the endstop Rodaun, and from there transfer to Bus 259.

Get around

Once you are in the Center at the Marktplatz you can easily get to every remarkable spot by foot. The walking distances are quite short as Perchtoldsdorf is quite small.

Interesting spots in Perchtoldsdorf are the Wehrturm and the Rathaus (both 15th century) directly at the Marktplatz, and the Pfarrkirche (church from the 13th century) and Herzogsbrug (castle from the 11th century) both in 2 minuite walking distance from the Marktplatz.

Perchtoldsdorf is famous for its wine available at its Heurigen, which also serve food and local specialties for moderate prices. Many of them are located on Hochstraße, north of the city centre.
