Jakobstad (Finnish: Pietarsaari) is a city in Ostrobothnia. The majority of the inhabitants speak Swedish as their native language.

By car

Jakobstad is situated along highway 8, the main road along the Finnish west coast.

By train

Most trains between southern Finland and Oulu or Rovaniemi stop at Bennäs railway station, some 15 km to the south. From there, take the bus to Jakobstad.

By bus

Buses between Vaasa and Kokkola stop in Jakobstad.

By plane

Flybe Nordic flies from Helsinki and SAS from Stockholm to Kokkola-Pietarsaari airport, 30 km from Jakobstad. Again, you can take the bus to Jakobstad from there.

By boat

Jakobstad has a guest port, so arriving by your own boat is always an option.
