Blenheim Palace

Woodstock is an attractive small town eight miles north of Oxford, England. It is the nearest town to the popular stately home Blenheim Palace, and therefore popular with travellers looking for food and accommodation.

Get in

By bus

Stagecoach Gold runs a frequent service, S3, from Oxford city centre. It can be taken from either Oxford railway station or Gloucester Green Bus Station in Oxford (Bay 8). The journey is about half an hour long, and cost £3.50 one way (£5.70 return) in 2013.

By car

Woodstock is about 15 minutes' drive north of Oxford on the A44. Traffic can be heavy, particularly in summer and at weekends, and there are limited parking opportunities.

Get around

Woodstock is small enough to be explored on foot.
