Congrats on starting your first wikiHow article!

Like all new articles, it will now go through a quality review process to ensure it follows our community guidelines. If your article meets those guidelines, you'll get a note letting you know that it's been promoted.

In the meantime you can continue editing to improve your article, or try visiting our Community Dashboard for other ways to help. You might get a kick out of flipping through the Topic Greenhouse to find articles in your area of expertise so you can add your knowledge there, too!

If you have any questions as you go, just reach out to our Help Team for a hand, and someone will get back to you soon :)

Hi there I came across your article in the NAB queue I wanted to check that you are the copyright owner of the images you uploaded? If you took the images yourself or have permission from the person who did take them to use them please let me know and we can replace the images. Please read Avoid Copyright Infringement to help you with this. Thanks for your understanding.

Hey there!

I noticed that you have recently published an article here and wanted to say thanks. Contributing new articles to wikiHow is one of the best ways to help out! I did want to reach out, though, because it appears that the article you submitted is very similar to an article on another website:

http://greatist.com/fitness/effective-TRX-exercises

Did you use that as your research source? Don't panic - lots of people don't realize that copying text from other sites is against copyright law. I can just have the article deleted, or maybe you'd like to rewrite it in your own words? Or if you are the original author/copyright holder, reply to this message and confirm that you are giving permission for it to be posted here. Then I can make a note of it on the article.

If you don't confirm that you are the original author, we will unfortunately need to delete the page from wikiHow. Thanks for your understanding and your contributions here!

Thanks for your message about the images in Have a Fit Body with TRX, I think that before any further work is done on the article you confirm that you own the website that has been plagiarised or rewrite the article in your own words. Thanks for your understanding.

Thanks again for your message. You should totally rewrite the whole article in your own words and only use images that either you personally took or obtained from the creative commons site (I sent you the link) in my earlier message. Sarah

Thanks for being open to feedback about patrolling! If you're game, the best first approach is to check out How to Patrol Recent Changes - reading that over all the way through, and watching the video at the bottom, is really helpful. Then it's a good idea to read over our Writer's Guide, formatting guidelines, and External Links Policy, too, since a lot of those guidelines become important in patrolling as well :)

After you check all those out and feel confident about the patrolling best practices, would you mind shooting me an email at anna@wikiHow.com? Then I can send you a few practice examples to get you off on the right foot before we restore the tool for you.

As for the language question, we don't have a wikiHow in Persian just yet, but maybe one day. That'd be neat!

Galactic-RadianceAlex said:

Okay, so here's my feedback about your articles.

Show Your Pompous Friend You Are Even Better:

  • What exactly makes this different from the existing article, Deal With a Self Centered Friend? The title is different, but the content is generally the same.
  • I'd recommend requesting a title change on this one, because one, it's probably not the most commonly searched sentence, and two, the title makes it sound like you should show your friend how stuck-up you are, which would probably deter a lot of people from reading it. Maybe consider "Cope with Self-Important Friends" instead?
  • The contents of the article need copyediting, which I'd be happy to do for you.
  • The article in general is somewhat vague, with only one section being really devoted to showing your friend that you're "better". There's a section on self-confidence, but that seems to be devoted to more of self-esteem. And I'm not really sure what "living the life" has to do with the article?
  • Are those images in the article yours? According to our Image Deletion Policy, images that aren't in the public domain or Creative Commons licensed can't be used and must be deleted. When it comes to images in our articles, they either have to be Creative Commons licensed or made yourself - you can't just take a random photo from Google Image Search and put it in, because that image isn't yours and you don't hold the copyright to use it. I've removed the images for now.

Have a Fit Body with TRX:

  • This needs a lot of copyediting and grammar fixes. I noticed you removed the Cleanup tag from it without cleaning up the article; I've put it back so that it's back in the Cleanup greenhouse.
  • It needs some formatting. All steps need to start with a verb. Otherwise, it's awkward and the steps don't flow properly.
  • You never define TRX in the article, and I don't know what that is, so I'm left confused for the entire thing. The only hint I get as to what it is, is when you say that you're supposed to do things like hook your toes through it. That's the only hint I get, and I'm still lost. You need to make sure that it's defined; not everyone can go to Google and look it up.
  • The article in general is quite small. I can't imagine that only seven steps would work.

Say Thank You in Persian:

  • I don't know Persian, but the formatting of this article is all off.
  • The article is stubby. I know that it can be tough to expand a language article, especially about one phrase, but it's ten sentences total, not counting the intro or the steps, as the steps aren't really sentences.

I'm happy to try and fix these up for you, but I've also got a lot of other articles I'm working on right now, so I may not be able to get to them immediately. Would you like me to do that for you?

Hi there!

I noticed that you've been chatting back and forth a lot on talk pages with other people on wikiHow. It's great that you're making friends on wikiHow, but if you're talking a lot about non-wikiHow stuff, could you please move the conversation over to somewhere else? Try reading How to Find Alternatives to Chatting on wikiHow for ideas.

The reason why I'm asking this is because every time you post on someone's talk page, that edit needs to get reviewed by the volunteer editors on the site, which creates a lot of extra work for us. It can be tiresome to review many messages going back and forth between two people, particularly if those messages don't have anything to do with wikiHow.

I hope that makes sense! If you ever have any questions about wikiHow, please let me know. I'll be happy to help.

Hey there, I just want you to know that I've demoted your article Make Sabzi Polo with Chicken, because I'm a little bit confused by the recipe. Here are my main confusion points - could you possibly edit based on these?

  • Cooking the vegetables for only one minute makes it sound like you'd end up with some very undercooked vegetables, until you read forward to see that you'll cook them again. You may want to add in that you'll be cooking the vegetables again with the rice, so that the reader understands and doesn't overcook it.
  • What is "two garlic", especially in the recipe? Is it the garlic leaves, or garlic cloves, or something else that I don't know about?
  • Is the lemon juice/sour orange juice supposed to be drizzled on the chicken, or should something else be done with it?
  • Is there a certain way you need to chop the vegetables? Do they need to be chopped finely, or would it work if the vegetables are cut in any way?
  • Do you cook the rice in a special way, or normally?

That's mainly what I'm confused about. Could you edit the article and then let me know when you're done, so I can look over it again? :)

At 14:55, Jul 13, 2016

AnnaAnna said:

Sure, Helen - I stumbled upon it and thought that it could use some more cleanup, details, and research.

I'm not totally sure why the title is aimed at being an "attractive" seller - are you talking about appearance, or something else? For example, we have Be a Good Seller already, and the title here is a little different because you used the term attractive, but then the article doesn't really seem to be about that? What did you have in mind?

Right now, I think it's a solid start but might be missing some details to really give readers the confidence that it's coming from someone who knows this field. For example, steps like "Attract customer's trust. When your customers believe that your purpose is helping them to make the best decision, they will trust your products easier." - that's a good end goal, but it doesn't tell you how to do it. It might be better to give concrete suggestions and examples of how you go about that.

This kind of topic is going to do best if it's supported by both thorough research and personal experience, ideally. I'm guessing since you chose the topic, that you've got some insights to share? Getting into the specifics would definitely be helpful to readers. What's your background in selling and marketing?

At 16:19, Jul 13, 2016

AnnaAnna said:

Thanks for making the distinction - I changed the title for you! The steps I mentioned were just an example - I think all of them could use more detail and expansion, ideally from real-life experience. If that's not possible, it would help to use a number of varied, reputable sources to back up the advice you give. Readers want to be sure that suggestions aren't just being pulled out of thin air :)

I saw all of your good work, accomplishments and goals and it really made me also want to do more with my work. So thank you. That would be so lovely! I wish you the best of luck with learning German, too - how hard is it to learn?

Good luck with your exams!!

Thank you for the compliment, I always try to work hard. I need to do better at following through at my goals too!

By the way, I wonder how hard it is to learn Armenian - I recently "fell in love" with Armenian music after a wonderful event. Hearing it made me so happy that the words stuck in my head! (Same with Persian music, it's all wonderful)(: I'm up for the challenges!

I see it's half-past midnight in Iran right now, I hope you have a great night!

That all sounds complex, but it definitely won't keep me from going ahead and learning Persian! Plus, English is my mother tongue but it is in itself a complex language. I'm up for the challenge...especially if it prevents Alzheimer's :) That's another added benefit that I wish I'd learned earlier!

Right now I know quite a bit of French and Spanish, basic Italian, basic Chinese and a few words in Portuguese. I'm working on Chinese Mandarin right now, since it's the most common language in the entire world! I'm learning the basics and how to count, then I'd like to learn how to write with the characters.

I'd say Armenian music is my absolute favorite besides "English" music, but I love Persian music as well. I'd love to be able to know both languages! I've never heard of Googoosh before--will definitely have to check it out! :D

Hey Mandana,

I've learned bits and pieces of several languages, but am not truly fluent in any language except for English. So one of my goals is to become fluent in another language, such as French, Spanish or Chinese. My mom is fluent in French so I got a lot of influence from her and she's helped me learn it - sort of like a language tutor. :)

It's wonderful that you have a great American accent, and it can be very easy for others to think you're American if you have their accent! I definitely think you can learn to have a good British accent with practice - you just have to keep practicing every day till you get it. I have faith in you! I know Anna is originally from the UK and she has a fantastic British accent :)

It's awesome that you traveled to Dubai, too! How many times have you been there? I'd like to go one day if I ever have the time and money- it looks pretty!

Persian definitely seems like a beautiful language. A brain surgeon seems like a cool job too - what do brain surgeons do? I can guess it has something to do with mental wiring.

I'm not going to be on site so much for the next few days. I'm helping with some fix-it projects and all, and preparing for a big event. I'll write you when I can though! Are you thinking of writing any new articles?

Thank you! Yes, French is a beautiful language and I know quite a bit. I practiced a lot with my mom last summer and three years ago. I'm hoping to become truly fluent in it though :)

"oh Big event?! Does it relates to wikiHow?"

No, it's outside of wikiHow :) Thank you for the good wishes!

I'll definitely have to put Dubai on my bucket travel list! It seems very pleasant to travel to, with beautiful views. I'm not fond of the heat, so I'll try to go when it's not so hot. The beaches and waters are a must for me too - I love beaches and oceans!

Thank you for all the good wishes Mandana! Though I can say that the one on traveling to Dubai is much too early! I'll see if time and money permit me to go to Dubai sometime in the '20s (meaning the 2020s, not the 1920s, of course) :) In the next few weeks, I'm going to be spending lots of time with my best friend -- that I made through wikiHow -- and visit some relatives I haven't seen for five years! They will be impressed at how much I've grown in the last five years. It's been too long!

I'm sure it will be! I've already seen pictures of Dubai and it looks beautiful--and there's water there - I'm a big "water person"(: I'd love to holiday there one day! I wonder how the people there are too. Just curious, since it's in the United Arab Emirates, could I travel there without Arabic, or would I need to speak Arabic? Right now I know no Arabic at all-not even one word!

And thank you--I'm sure it will be a wonderful time! I get to spend two weeks with a lot of the people that I care about the most. I can capture a lot of joy from that! :)

How long does it take to drive to Tehran? When did you last see your best friend? (I would think it takes a while to get from Rasht to Tehran!) My best friend doesn't live in my state so we only get to see each other every now and then. At least his home state borders mine! But we always talk. It's actually User:Galactic Radiance--we've even bonded on wikiHow while sitting next to each other :)

Ok - off I go! I'm going to be mostly offline for these next few weeks, up until mid-August--being super busy enjoying myself offsite (and popping back in a bit next week) so I may not be able to reply quickly. But I wish you a wonderful weekend and several weeks ahead.

Hey, Mandana! Sorry to hear that you have chicken pox - I hope you feel better soon. :(

Anyway, I'm sorry to bother you when you're sick, but I just wanted to let you know that I moved the UIB you created to the proper template namespace. :) That way, you can call it using {{Persian wikiHow Project}}, so that it shows up as a UIB! I hope you don't mind, since I'm fairly sure that was your intention anyway. :)

I moved the page from the article namespace to a Template namespace, which can only be done by those with Boosting or Admin rights, but it's fairly simple; I went to move the page, changed the dropdown box to say "Template", and then moved it. :)

Hi,

please have a look following content for Indian part:

The heavy wedding make-up and dust/ sweat are likely to clog up your pores. Add to this, the sleepless nights and bone-tiring days, and it obviously is difficult to remain fresh and radiant.

And, it isn’t easy for Indian brides, as many of them move to their husband’s family home, post marriage. Living and adjusting with an entirely new family is not easy, but it certainly is a task in the initial days of the marriage, especially before your honeymoon.

Thus, discuss early on, and plan to keep at least one rest day in between your wedding/ reception day and honeymoon travel. On the rest day, politely take your leave from guests/family members. Catch up on sleep. You will need to be your tactful best, as this is also the time, when foundation for many important relations is being laid. You can’t afford to offend your mommy-in-law, with whom you may have to stay now.

Take a long shower, soak up the facial scrub and mud pack, cleanse and tone well. Get rid of pesky facial or body hair. If this is not possible at your new wedding home, schedule a professional cleansing and massage session. Focus on relaxation. Eat light and fresh, stay away from sweets and ceremony leftovers. Talk to your partner. Smile and cuddle.

Rail Travel on agenda? If traveling within India, you may also take advantage of the lovely itineraries offered by the great Indian Railways. Traveling by trains is a very romantic idea! If you want complete privacy, book only the first class, and enjoy this secluded, romantic trip, where you won’t need to worry about food, bedding or anything. The Konkan Railway route offers an amazingly scenic view, and is an excellent choice for couples traveling to Goa or Southern India.

Enjoy your wikibreak, Mandana! I've been on a semi wikiBreak, too :) I felt that I needed the recharger since I've been super-active on this project for three years, plus school started and I've been busy yet in a refreshing way. The studies are keeping me occupied and I haven't had time so I'm not as active as I used to be on the editing front. I still check my talk page messages often and edit every several days. I'm also trying to stay active so I can attend the 2017 meetup, one I do not want to miss!

Just wanted to let you know in case you ever wonder "where has Adelaide been?" :) I'm a bit detached and "invisible" on the site essentially right now, but you might see me pop in when I do. Cheers and talk to you when I can!

Yeah, that's right! And as for not messaging earlier, it's okay no worries :)

I did notice a sentence that needs to be changed here: "Since summer's about to end, I don't know why, everyone are planning their parties and other stuff for the last month of summer!"

to "since summer's about to end, I don't know why, but everyone is planning their parties and other events for the last months of summer"

"I was out all these recent days." change to "I've been out(side?) lately" I can say I've even missed my room!

"But I try to message you more often when I can. :)" to "I'll try to message you more often when I can"

"Just for reminding, please warn me if I have any grammatical problem!" to "Just to remind you, please warn me if I have any grammatical problems!"

That's all the grammar mistakes I can find. Good luck with the ACTs! When are they? I have no idea how the Iranian system works...

See (write) you soon! I think I'm taking a full week off from wikiHow, since I still don't have full enthusiasm or energy to work on the project right now, I think it's just I need a change... :)
