Congrats on starting your first wikiHow article!

I just wanted to touch base in case you were wondering what happens next :) All new articles go through a quality review process to ensure they follow our community guidelines. If your article meets those guidelines, you'll get a note letting you know that it's been promoted.

In the meantime you can continue editing to improve your article, or try visiting our Community Dashboard for other ways to help. You might get a kick out of flipping through the Topic Greenhouse to find articles in your area of expertise so you can add your knowledge there, too!

Great to see you adding the donut blanket article here instead, Flopsy - I think it'll be a good fit here!

I hope you don't mind - I did a little bit of editing to help it meet the guidelines in our Writer's Guide. Can you take a look here and let me know what you think? I hope you like it, but don't worry if not - no changes on wikiHow are irreversible, and you're welcome to edit on it more, too. Are you adding in those pictures next? Those will really help!

Hi there,

I'm running an official wikiHow editor survey and I was wondering if you could help out by participating? This survey should take you about 5 minutes to complete. You can learn more about this research here. I would really appreciate it if you could take it within a week. We have a wonderful community here and I'm eager to get a better idea of who contributes and why :)

Let me know if you have any questions at all about this!

Hi Flopsy, I've noticed you've left some messages on articles you've started. Just a heads up that it's easier to contact an editor here as people don't always respond to the discussion page comments. So, here are some responses to your queries:

The article Fold a Blanket Into a Donut has been published, so I am not sure what your concern is with this one. Perhaps you could let me know and I'll see if I can explain anything you need to know.

As for Trek in High Mountains, could you please contact Chris directly to discuss the copyright of it and to confirm directly with him that you have the permission to publish it here? Once you've done that, Chris will be able to clear things up for you. Thanks, Flic

Hi Flopsy, Your article will definitely be seen now that it is promoted live, it may take time for the views to show though as it takes time for people to find new articles. I am replying here, just a heads up that your message to me came from your logged out IP. Flic

Hi Flopsy,

We don't accept articles that are copied from elsewhere, even with permission. Unfortunately, search engines penalize sites that have copied content, so doing so could be bad for wikiHow and the source site. Instead, a good practice is to write from the original source in your own words, and then link to it in the "Sources and Citations" section of the article. Hope this helps!

Chris
