Hi there! If your anonymous, please create a account so I can answer any questions you may have. Another big help to wikiHow is creating a article. Any questions? Let me know or you can leave a message on the help team board so someone can answer your question.

This talk or discussion page has been targeted frequently by anonymous IP vandals/spammers, or any anonymous IP user who has left comments not related to an article. So, to prevent this, it has been semi-protected so that only registered users can post comments on it.
If you are an anonymous user, please create an account or contact someone. Thank you.
I have gone back to school.

I may be unavailable on weekdays. You may try to contact me on my talk page, but there is no guarantee I will get back to you in a timely manner.

ah -- well, ty; what you couldn't know is that that was me, hopping around on different pc's, and apparently not signed in on one, somehow. Then, after the rollback, i throw another group of edits on before i realize, and then am reduced to editing with pencil and paper, because i haven't got cut/paste together in this venue, yet...what, in two tabs, i guess? anyway, ty for understanding --I'm not qualified to read the dam "show diff's" pane; I should know this.

I don't think that's possible. You're one of the only ones that does say thanks, and let's just say it brightens my day.
You are really appreciated around here!

Hi - I'm a bit confused. Smile.71627 reverted my edits on the Take Care of Pet Mice or Rats which I left a query on his talk page about why - since for a start the image was of a hamster, and there were other serious errors that I had corrected. This has since been removed from his talk page and I've received no response or explanation as to why my edits were removed in the first place.

You left a comment that appeared to praise him for reverting my edits. Why? Am I missing something?

Hi again Connor,

I noticed you reverted this edit and then left a coaching note for this user. I think in the case of the edit, you could've used "Quick Edit" to keep the advice, and remove the links. You can see how I did that here.

As a patroller, "rollback" and "mark as patrolled" are not your only options. You are encouraged to use "Quick Edit" and to avoid discouraging new editors. Can you please re-read How to Patrol Recent Changes on wikiHow and watch the video again as a reminder? I'm getting worried because you are doing a lot of patrols and as such you are representing wikiHow, but new contributors might be deciding to never contribute to wikiHow again because they received discouragement like this person did.

I'm not sure you can link to a specific post on someones talk page (if you know how feel free to tell me) but the comment you made was on on On 20:26, 11 February 2011 which was 1 minute after he reverted my changes - you can see it in the history on

As I say I tried to contact them directly about it but they just removed the message from their talk page so it doesn't look like they are prepared to respond - hence why I'm checking with you instead :)

Strangely enough, I found out the hard way that my microwave interferes with my internet. It is the truth, it explains why my internet blanks on me when I nuke some pizza. I had my epiphany while RC patrolling here, trying to revert some vandalism-when it didn't work I tried hitting rollback a few more times. Once the internet came back, it 'rollbacked' the next few articles, mostly which had great advice. I manually went into article history to fix them, but I guess I missed this one.

I know it sounds like I made up this whole story .. but, hey, the truth can be weird.

You can call me Jordan ;)

To answer your question, the categories in general aren't really something someone can be in charge of. There are a few admins who are in charge of creating new categories, but otherwise, their purpose is simply to differentiate between topics within an organized system. If you want to be in charge of something, have you considered starting a project? :)

Hope this helped!

It's pretty simple, actually :) All of the instructions on beginning a project can be found here. I would be happy to help you but unfortunately it's not my area of expertise; you may want to ask for project volunteers in the Collaboration forum.

What do you mean by 'tags'? Intro, stub, that kind of thing? Also, if you want me to edit your 'floating bar' on your userpage (you know, at the top of the screen) I can. I saw that it looked like you copy-pasted, just letting you know I can help you personalize it.

Oh, now I see the toolbar! Took me a minute to get that. Stupidity moment on my part. :) Sure, that would be great! Kind of a trade-off. What colors do you want? Background, text, border? I can make the font bigger too if you want.

There you go! I had to un-link the link to your talk page because the blue didn't show up against the background, though.

I'll make a UIB for your team! And tell me what templates you'll need; just the basics ('Thanks/good job', 'You're invited', and 'Member of the Month')? If you want, I'll also design the team page.

Also, what are the theme colors?

At 01:32, Feb 19, 2011

Isabelle-ZitaIsabelle Zita said:

OK, would you be fine with green? Also, what border(s)? I can do one or more borders, dashed or solid.

P.S. - I'll start with designing the team page, and from there move on to the templates.
P.P.S - If you want any additional changes, just tell me!

Hey Connor! I was just designing this, when I found out a template I was going to make is already made! You see (if you go to the Team page), that the template {{Copyedit Team Invite}} is/was made for a different team! Just click on the link on the template, and you'll get to the other team's page.

Anyways, I don't know what you'll want to do know, you should probably contact the other team's leader.... Well, if you still want me to design the page, I'll be more than happy.

Hey! Thanks for starting an article on wikiHow! I did a little bit of editing on the article to help out...Can you take a look (you can see my exact changes here) and let me know what you think? I hope you like my edits!

At 16:33, Feb 19, 2011

Isabelle-ZitaIsabelle Zita said:

Hey! I think I know what it is; at the very end of the template, put in <noinclude>{{comment_footer|Isabelle Zita|Isabelle Zita}} 's as there is borders, so for {{Great Job}} you'd want two. I'll go ahead and add them for you and you can take a look just to see what it looks like.

Just make sure you don't have more </div>'s than there are borders, otherwise it won't work when you place it in an article/page.

Anyways, so just basically put the </div>'s at the end of the template, not after the template on a page.... If you have any more problems just tell me! :)

At 16:39, Feb 19, 2011

Isabelle-ZitaIsabelle Zita said:

Or never mind.... Do put the {{comment_footer|Isabelle Zita|Isabelle Zita}} </div></noinclude>.... Anyways, the reason it wasn't working for you was because you didn't put the divs on the template itself, and on the Team page, you forgot to put a / in the last </nowiki>...

Anyways, sorry 'bout that!

At 16:42, Feb 19, 2011

Isabelle-ZitaIsabelle Zita said:

Hmm. Actually I'm not so sure.... All of the templates on the page seem to be fixed except for the last one... I'm not sure why, but I'm gonna go investigating. You can join me if you want. :]

At 16:45, Feb 19, 2011

Isabelle-ZitaIsabelle Zita said:

Err, nevermind. I just figured out why the template wasn't working; there wasn't a <noinclude>{{comment_footer|Isabelle Zita|Isabelle Zita}} </noinclude> at the end of it.

Anyways, if you have any questions, just ask! :D
