EditWelcome to Our Family

Hop to it, because the bunny said so.

Hi 50klop/allmessages, I'm Gina, and as one of wikiHow's volunteers,I want to welcome you to our community. wikiHow is a collaborative writing project to build the world's largest how-to manual. With your contributions, we can create a free resource that helps people by offering clear, concise solutions to the problems of everyday life. wikiHow currently contains 193,227 articles written, edited, and maintained primarily by volunteers.

Please join us by writing a new page, or editing a page that someone else has started. This is a big place, and writing is hard at first. So your first pages might get deleted. But don't take it personally. If you think the deletion is unfair contact an Admin who will explain to you the method behind the madness. Try reading the Writer's Guide first, and then dip your toes in the wikiOcean. Drop me a line any time and I'll be there to help. That's the wiki way! So hop to it!

Thanks for fixing up the dodgeball page. I hope you stick around here and keep editing.

Hi 50klop,

Thanks for joining the wikiHow community. Since you're new, you might want to take the wikiHow tour to learn about how things work around here.

Please leave a message on my talk page, by clicking the link below, if I can help you with anything on wikiHow!

Daniel H said:

Thanks for adding some related articles. I do that too. See the link at the beginning of my profile for more tips.

I sent you a welcome message because I saw that you were new to the wikihow community. Trying to be friendly. I got a barnstar award for being friendly and for all my contribs. =D

KnowItSome said:

Great. Thanks!

KnowItSome said:

Thanks, Bo. I took care of the three articles. One could be redirected, one was in fact a speedy, and one did not really meet speedy deletion criteria, so I changed the tag to NFD.

The fact that you MAPped your own edits did not come into play here, although, it is generally better to leave your edits to be patrolled by someone else. Admins tend to check in for speedies when they are around, but sometimes they are not. Logolept is around a lot, keeping us on the in the background, so if you can't find an admin popping up on the RC list, you might try shooting him a note next time this happens.

KnowItSome said:

This is a good article to read regarding the redirecting. Basically, if the article gives no new information and is very short and we would already have this information covered, we can redirect it. IE: How to Get Ready for a Date, Step One, Brush your teeth. Step Two, pick out something nice to wear.

Jack H said:

Many thanks for your work on RC patrol. I appreciate you watching the featured articles.

V Rod said:

Hey Bo, I was actually trying to revert the edit after yours, but I screwed up. So I put it back to the same way you left it. Probably I should have just re-reverted, but I wasn't that clever at the time. Sorry -- no offense intended, I'm still learning the wikiHow ropes.

V Rod said:

Hey, Bo, please don't worry about it! If anything I should be apologizing to you; I did step on your edit, even if I didn't mean to. Have a good night!

Jack H said:

If he is impersonating me, you can send him the {{Username}} message. But you might want to send me the URL so I can check it out too.

thanks so much for all your help here!

Jack H said:

Thanks for the note. I don't think this person is pretending to me. His name is Jack Henley. Mine is Jack Herrick. It is just a good faith coincidence.  :)

Thanks for letting me know! Keep up the great patrolling.

I take pleasure in awarding 50klop the Achievement Award presented for advancing from newbie to dedicated contributor. You have displayed your ability, willingness, and sincere desire to help wikiHow grow and become a bigger and better site! You have shown through words, deeds and actions the true spirit of wikiHow.

Nicole Willson said:

You are definitely making a huge difference here in terms of reverting vandalism and spam, which is very important. Even though you're not an admin, you are performing a lot of the duties that an admin does, so somewhere along the line you may want to consider adminship. So you may want to read:

Again, thanks for all the great work. It's easy sometimes to not know how much you're helping the site. I don't think I realized it until this time last year when I had been on wikiHow for about 5 months and reached the 700-edit mark.

Also, I don't know if you're aware of this but some of us wikiHowians just finished attending a wiki conference in Montreal. One of the things we talked about creating tutorials to make people feel more welcome and less like newbies. If you're looking for a project to work on, I'd really appreciate you input. Thanks :)!

Nicole Willson said:

There are a lot of wiki conferences. Some of them are turned into wikiHow meetups. Sometimes wikiHow even provides a stipend for active contributors (and yes you are considered an active contributor) to attend.

Each conference has a different flavor. The conference I just finished was RoCoCo Camp which is based on an open space format where people decide what they want to talk about at the conference. I met a lot of awesome people working on a variety of wiki projects, yet many of them had the same issues that I have in working on wikiHow. Also, I got this great sense that I was part of a larger wiki family.

The next conference I'm going to is the Wikimania conference which is in Taipei, Taiwan this year. It's run by the Wikimedia Foundation (the folks that bring you Wikipedia). I went to Wikimania last year when it was in Boston over at the Berkman school at Harvard Law. There's also wikiSym, another conference in Montreal this fall that's mainly academic -- people presenting dissertations mostly -- and part of a larger computing conference run by ACM.

There have been no forum posts about the tutorial yet. Right now I've just been messaging people that I think would be interested. While we were at RoCoCo, we came up with a list of 14 or so action items and I think the feeling was that we don't want to foist them all on the community at once. That would be pretty overwhelming. Also, the conference ended on Sunday, so I think man of us are regrouping our thoughts, adjusting to being back home (Dave came all the way from the UK -- farthest he's ever traveled) etc. Yet, I do want to begin acting on ideas before I forget, which is why I've started contacting people to get something rolling.

Also, we're working on some guidelines for welcome messages so that the wikiHow welcome is something that best represents the community (no garish colors etc.). If you want to get involved in that as well let me know.

Nicole Willson said:

Well I think the next Recent Changes Camp (same thing as RoCoCo) is going to be in San Francisco, near Jack and that there will probably be some sort of wikiHow meetup. We're also talking about a wikiHow meetup that's not in conjunction with a conference. wikiTravel recently had an expedition in Puerto Rico as their meetup. Of course, since they are a travel wiki, anywhere they go can be used as "research" :).

Taipei is pretty far for me too (I live in MA), but I'm just crazy enough to decide to go. It's related to library science (which I'm getting my Masters in) and also this may be the only chance I'd ever have to go there.

In terms of the welcome message, what we were talking about was a general set of guidelines. The problem is that we don't want to limit community creativity and innovation. For example, a line from KnowItSome's personal welcome message, about being online and able to help users right away, was incorporated into the default wikiHow welcome template here on wikiHow.

I probably should put something in the namespace about creating welcome guidelines.

I'm gonna get going pretty soon, as I'm still here in Montreal and want to get out and do some touristy things before it's too late. It was great talking to you though and I hope to hear more from you on this. Also, if you have AOL IM, my username is elocinia.

ashley said:

Hello,

I noticed that you put a Nominated for Delection Tag on a article and titled it joke, which is fine that you did that, but if there a joke or just stupid you can just put a speedy tag on it. Thanks for your contributions.

Thanks,

Dave Crosby said:

Hi Bo. No problem with the speedy recreation. It can't be helped, there's no way to see it coming. We'll give the anon vandal one more chance, I'm just back from RoCoCo and full to the brim with wikiLove.

ashley said:

MD Otley said:
Have you been reverting by clicking "rollback" or by going into the history?
MD Otley said:
"Rollback" takes care of one or many bad edits, as long as they are all by the same user and no other editor has touched it. So if Vandal123 does three consecutive edits, and you patrol them before anyone tries to fix it, rollback will revert all three edits in one move, as well as marking all three of them patrolled. The only time you need to use the History to revert vandalism is when more than one user is involved.
Jack H said:
I blocked the vandal on the page. Thanks for letting me know.

Hey Bo,

I just wanted to clarify one of our rules for you: We do not allow personally identifiable information to be posted at any time on the site. Due to a US ruling called COPPA, we can't allow users under the age of 13 unless we have a place and an office set up to receive parental consent forms. We don't have any sort of place like that set up, so we just do not allow underage users.

Only reason I bring it up is that I saw what you posted to Supercutie, and wanted to make sure that rule is understood, and why. Thanks ;)

Even in your short time here, you have already written several good articles, helped more newbies than I can count, reverted tons of vandalism, and you have always been a friendly face on IRC. Hey there, Bo. I went ahead and deleted that sexual article since no good can come from such insulting and vulgar text. It probably warrants a {{speedy}} or on-the-spot deletion. I know you wanted to be safe with an NFD, and I agree, better to be safe than sorry. Unless I'm wrong, I've understood that NFD exists for questionable articles, that if reworked, can be a positive addition to wikiHow. I usually go by the title as a last resort if the content is questionable. Let me know what you think.

I've learned to make the most of NFDs. In the past, saving an article from NFD, by either copyediting or rewriting it, never crossed my mind. Now I know that we have many contributed who attempt to resurrect some of these articles.

I have an idea I want to run by you. Did you know that it is not necessary to "Archive" pages? As every edit of every page is already saved on the wikiHow servers. A shorter, more efficient method is to clear page content, then go to page history, find the last version before clearing and make a link at the top of the talk page. What do you think?
I like this idea and want to promote it.
Pastor Zack said:
I have posted it on the forums in the past. Now I am doing "personal evangelism" to promote the idea. I don't think it should be "enforced" but it should be voluntarily adopted. There are times that the full create-an-archive method must be used.

Hello Sir!

Thanks for the welcome. I'm a retired FAA controller trying to learn the ins and outs of ripping and burning CDs to make compilations of my favorites. This should keep me going for another few weeks :)

Is there a particular page I should be looking into as far as who to ask on a particular subject, or just jump in?

Also, how do I let everyone know I'm available to answer any questions about air traffic control and flying? ( I'm still a pilot and have 27 years experience in that field)

Thanks again for the welcome.

I love the Comic Sans. You've inspired me to change the font of my own author page. Thanks.
Dvortygirl said:

Bo, The first thing I'd suggest is just looking around there, if you haven't already. You'll find somewhere upwards of 500 articles. If nothing else, it is good Spanish practice simply to try reading some of them.

If you're up to it, you might consider translating some of them into English. Granted, it doesn't help the Spanish project directly, but every time we have an "in other languages" link in an English article, that's one more chance for somebody who's truly bilingual to see the Spanish site and get involved.

Even if you can't quite translate articles yet, please consider adding interwikis. (Pop into IRC and ask me or alhen if you don't know how to do those.) I don't think that articles need to be an exact one-to-one correspondence, just be about the same subject.

Another way you could help is by welcoming new users, logged-in or otherwise. What seems to happen a lot there is that Jack will spot them first and write some variation on "Hi, I don't speak Spanish, but welcome and gracias." Even though he means well, I'm pretty sure many of the editors don't even know this much English. (One of these days, I should put together a welcome template and a phrasebook for Jack...)

Those are the ideas that come to my mind that are easier than a full-blown translation.
Goicopadron said:
THank you....
Dvortygirl said:

Well, I've been talking to Alhen for about a year and a half in a mixture of Spanish and English. I've gotten to the point where I can get through a novel in Spanish if it's not too outlandish and even listen to the radio. It's still pretty challenging to translate the technically specific stuff, though.

Oh, and if you're trying to learn Spanish, do check out conversationexchange.com. There are no shortage of people there looking for native English speakers for conversation partners. And come by and chat with alhen and me on IRC. We're pretty tolerant of people just learning the language.

Basically the rule is to leave the spelling the way the original author had it. If the author first used American English, then the spelling shouldn't be reverted to British.

Cipher_nemo said:
Bo, the article is not necessarily a "stub" or "incomplete", but it's not necessarily "inaccurate". From the original, anonymous author, it's short-sighted and over-simplified. But since we don't have such a tag, I've tagged it as close as possible with "inaccurate" since no one will be able to become a surgeon from this the direction this guide is pointing. I'm against the NFD on the article, because over time it can be evolved, but for now, it's far short of a quality article because of the lack of content. It's content is currently a lot of plain 'common sense' in my opinion.

I'd really like to see us find a medical doctor or surgeon to add some valuable content to this article. It would be nice to make this an article with some content from someone with that specific expertise, to help those seeking that career choice.
Cipher_nemo said:
I've copyedited the tips section and added another tip. Even if we can't find someone of expertise to add content to the article, anyone can research requirements for the field (ie: schooling), and even post about some of the key points covered throughout a university's medical program.
Cipher_nemo said:
Also, you don't have to worry about the NFD. The tag will be removed since there's no community consensus for it. Especially since Jack added his input as well.
Cipher_nemo said:
No problem, I didn't take any offense. I appreciate your help here, and you are trusted regardless of how much or little you contribute. Remember the ideal we have of assume 'good faith'? Don't take any of it personally.

Am I such a lowly beast as to be treated like a terrorist that I am stripped of my rights and shunned by the public for a gross misunderstanding?

Will you sick the wrath of the bumbling George W Bush on me for having an opinion that differs from those who would accept stupidity and ignorance in fellow man, rather than attempt to raise one self higher. Once who would selflessly point out the shortcomings of those they stumble across, and offer these poor souls advice and direction that they might better themselves.

For shame on you who would censor the word of a fellow man.

Thanks for your entry in the First wikiHow Bold Edit Contest!

Hey, Bo.
Find any new articles ya'd like to post on the gangsta page? And, I wanted your opinion on changing gangsta's name to ghetto. Are they the same things? Or can we just be a bit "eh" until we get more people? WDYT?

D rae said:

No problem, Bo. I'm sure you're busy, and you don't have to do anything until you feel you've the time. It's alright :)
But does gangsta really include girls, as well? I was watching the TV and they brought the girl/guy outfits and such (oi! I was bored). Gangsta was the boy's title, and Ghettolicious was the girl's.
Personally, I believe that gangsta is quite unisex, but I agree in keeping things simple until everything's off and running.
Also, if you find anybody capable of running Scene, let me know; the two at the moment seem very inactive...

Hey!

Nice job with Open a Clam. I nominated it for featuring! The Global Gourmet gave you explicit permission to use those images? They're awesome! Do you know if they might have any bigger versions available?

-K.
Krystle said:

It looks like they're small, and enlarging them would only make them look gritty. Perhaps they have higher resolution images they'd like to share, who knows?

I only ask because we had a similar situation with a past FA (Create an Inexpensive Photography Lightbox) where the pictures were great, but too small, and it was such a shame because the article was almost perfect!
Julia Maureen said:

Hey, I was just wondering, is your article Open a Clam still in Requesties? It's still on the list, and when I went to the page, it had the requesties header on it.. But when I clicked on discussion and back again, it was gone.

Also, how strange, I wrote my article, Steam Clams the same day, didn't even know you had written your article that day. As for the requesties thing.. That's just a crazy coincidence.
Julia Maureen said:
Oh, okay, thanks, just wondering. Seemed strange, 's all. Thank you, and good luck!
Krystle said:
Hey again! You seem to enjoy writing interesting food articles, don't you? I put up a title change suggestion for Make Chocolate, and some questions have been raised in the discussion. Take a look! Chocolate making is a very complex topic, hopefully we can narrow the scope down a bit and fill in some details. It's a wonderful topic!
Krystle said:

Yeah, the title can be changed whenever; I just wanted to run it by you first.

Have you actually made chocolate by hand before? Do you by any chance have some pictures? If we could get some step-by-step photos, we might be able to push this article to featured status.

As far as writing a separate article about doing it with machines is concerned, I think it might be better (though more complicated) to do this:

  • Start an article title "Make Chocolate by Hand" and move all the info from Make Chocolate to it.
  • Add new content to Make Chocolate generally outlining the chocolate making process: roasting, winnowing, conching, molding; all the ways this can be accomplished.
  • Add a tip like "This can also be done by hand, though it does not produce chocolate similar to what you find at stores" and link to the other article, "Make Chocolate by Hand."
That way, you have two articles, one general and one with a specific technique, and all the bases are covered. Does this sound like something you'd like to do?
Krystle said:
There's a lot of information on chocolate making at http://www.chocolatealchemy.com/ (look at the Alchemist's Notebook menu on the upper right). If there are any photos worth using, maybe you can ask for permission!
Krystle said:
Oh, sure you do, you'd continue starting articles about interesting topics and helping people learn about new things! All I do is scurry around and fret about formatting and accuracy, anyone can do that. =P

Hey Bo! That's AWESOME that you got permission to use Chocolate Alchemy's images. I've encountered the whitespace issue before; try putting this right after a step whenever you have two images (I used this code to format the first two images in the chocolate article):

<br><br>[[Image:FirstImage.jpg|left|200px]] [[Image:SecondImage.jpg|200px|left]]

You can of course tweak the image size to your liking. The only drawback is you can't add a caption; this method doesn't work with thumbnails, so you'll have to describe what's going on in the pics within the actual step.

Let me know if this fits the bill!

Tonight I was looking for a recipe for "chiles rellenos" and I found a great page. It reminded me of you because you're often up for the challenge of writing interesting food articles. I don't know if you're interested, but if we can get permission to import the content, I think this could be a featured article. Just thought I'd let you know about it, in case you're looking for ideas on new articles to write!

Sondra C said:

Its still not correct. You have the last few fine. But do not tell them what picture to look at, because there is no picture 1.

I sent you mine to get the idea how it should also be written.

Have the information on the same line or line as the pictures.

They will have a problem trying to find a specific picture, and will complain bitterly on the discussion page. Eric has this problem on his.;)..

Each step has to match the picture. This is so that while reading the step they can also see the picture.

Also it would have been better if you did not include the numbers on the pictures, as this also confuses..this is why I suggested that you do not have {see picture 1) etc included.
Sondra C said:
When you clip the video, it is possible to create the box below the number and then clip it...this way you will not have the number...
Sondra C said:
I would suggest that you only leave ONE of the 2 pictures. Remove the one on the left and leave the one on the right, cutting.
Sondra C said:

Also, you can move the video back and forth until you have a clean picture, without the wording on it also.

At any rate, I would place the pictures below each other, and if needed create another step....with the one picture.
Sondra C said:

Also you can eliminate the empty cup trays pictures. Leave the one that someone is pouring into the cups.

video jug is not at all easy to do. It takes a great deal of time, and patiences.;)

but I have faith in your ability to create great articles from video jug....just take your time, you will get there.

It looks like you got the screenshots process figured out for the Make Crème Brulée article. It looks great! You mentioned fixing up the images in Step 5--I only see one image; is it still an issue? Is there anything else I can help with? The only additional thing I would do is provide a direct link to the video in the "summary" section of the image description when you upload it.

Thanks for writing this article, by the way. I've been wanting to make something like this for a while!

I am not a computer just do you know :D You are welcome to leave a message for me anytime! Yours truly, peanut baby ♥ xoxo p.s/ to see my user page, just click my name, and if you like it, I can set you up with some thing like it! Just tell me what colors you like, and what UIB's you like. UIB's are the funky boxes.

And then a picture of a smiley face or something cute:D if that's not to much trouble. Thanks a million! If you have time. thanks

Krystle said:
Odd, which e-mail address did you use? The one at the bottom of the chiles rellenos page?
Krystle said:

Nope, same one. Strange, indeed. If you used the standard permission template, maybe they didn't understand the request completely, especially since they might not be fluent in English. Here's what I wrote:

Hola!

I'm an editor for www.wikiHow.com and I was working on an article on how to make chiles rellenos. When I was doing research, I came across your page, which provides a great overview of the process ( http://www.rollybrook.com/chiles_rellenos.htm). Would you be willing to give permission to use your pictures on an article on wikiHow.com? The photos would then be available for anyone to see and use freely. There would also be a link at the bottom of the article, crediting your site as the source. Would Sra. Martha Valdepeñas mind sharing her technique with the world? Please let me know. I and many other readers would greatly appreciate it. Gracias.

Krystle said:

*Shrugs* It looks good to me. I don't see why it didn't get a response.

On a side note, it might be a good idea to avoid the term "non-profit" since wikiHow is not a non-profit organization, and Google ads are displayed to unregistered visitors. More info about that here.
Krystle said:
It's easy to forget that wikiHow's for-profit because it has so many of the virtues of a non-profit--a common goal of helping people around the goal, a volunteer-driven community, and a democratic decision-making process. It's really just a minor legal detail, I suppose. =)
Krystle said:
I glanced at Make Chocolate and it looks good. I'm going to ask Hans to take a look at it since he knows a lot about chocolate.
Krystle said:
People associate profit-making with big, dishonest corporations. I think it's pretty cool that wikiHow challenges that stereotype, like "Hey, you can make money and do the right thing at the same time."
Peanut Baby said:

Hey Bo! Would you mind telling me if the names shameoneyou and ladies man217 sound inapprpriate. There was also this one called killcom12 and i sent him/her a {{username}}

In researching, importing and writing about a wide variety of interesting food topics, you're always committed to adding visuals and giving the articles you work on that extra touch. Your high-quality, detailed and helpful photographs make a world of difference and are deeply appreciated. They help articles meet the ultimate goal: being the single most accurate, most helpful, highest quality page on that topic available anywhere.
D rae said:

Hey Bo,

I took a good look at the Make Chocolate article. I think it needs a little more work in terms of detail and technique, but it can eventually be a good featured article candidate. I worked on the the first step a little, and I'll continue see what I can add to the rest of the article as I have time. Now I must go get a chocolate fix after reading the article, though. =)

D rae said:

No! Of course not :) It's just that I've asked her to do something several times... over a few days... and so had Tugs (I believe)... but still, nothing!

D rae said:

GAH! I'm sorry... it's terrible that I don't get the jokes until after you explain them ;)
We need leaders for scene, leaders for prep, and you need a co- in gangsta. It's not fair to work by yourself :P
BTW, nice work on the article! I'll just wikilink some stuff, and then I'll move it outta there :)

Thanks for the sockpuppet info. Anything like that needs to be reported to Versageek or Travis or Jack, as they are the only three who have the tools to verify sockpuppeting. I do not have the time to review the comments of these alleged socks for content, but our username policy indicates as follows

"Malicious Sock puppets", or additional accounts used for malicious purposes, are not welcome. "Malicious Sock puppets" attempt to control discussions by having multiple opinions and votes in a poll or forum. They also attempt to circumvent policy, a blocked account or scrutiny by maintaining a separate account. Any user found to have used separate accounts for malicious purposes will have all associated accounts blocked.

Sock puppets are OK, malevolent socks are not OK. Is the sock puppet behaving malevolently? Eg using a sock to violate a block, engaging in multiple discussions while pretending to be 2 people, voting on issues, etc?

I can't help but feel bad for you... having to read through all that while you archive ;) It's really nice of you to never turn my begging down.
Say, do you think Listen to Tupac would fit into your BSP category? I just saw it, and thought I'd ask you.

-D
D rae said:

Hee hee... I love the Beastie Boys, but they're not rap. Tupac's ghost would kill you if he heard that :P Eminem's queer songs are good though... but I've got a feeling ghostie would kill all if heard that, too :P
Ya, I thought of NFD'ing it, but then I thought about slamming you with the job... erm, I mean, letting you see it. *ahem* If you like, we can ignore it, and see about finding more articles. I think it'd be a pretty hard job fixing that one.

Great articles! you did a great job on them. They were not easy to write, especially with all the pictures that the article entailed.;) I edited them both, changed the main picture of the chocolate pudding, and removed the random bold words on both articles. IMHO, Bold words do not always enhance an article. At times they instead, detract from ease of reading since the eye is immediately directed only to the bold, and not the rest of the steps. Also using bold lettering makes an article difficult to edit by having to remove the bold lines. Since the wiki way, is for all articles to be edited by any contributor, articles should easy to be edited. There are times that an article is made better with bold but only on random occasions, and for particular type articles.

On 03:15, 10 September 2007

MdotleyMD "Webster" Otley said:

Maybe not so amazing -- it took me over a dozen tries to get all the formatting correct without leaving a big chunk of white space at the bottom. Having an extra colon in the Category link is not something clever on my part, it is standard wikimarkup, so that you get a link to the category, rather than membership in the category. I'd teased Eric yesterday about not using /div as often as he should, so that may be why he used them, instead of the pipe and curly bracket combos that your setup called for. BTW, you had two of them at the beginning, but I couldn't see why, so I deleted one. If there was a good reason for the second one, you'll have to put it back in, and a matching set to close it off, too.

On 03:15, 10 September 2007

Dreamgal2Sondra C said:

I think it is beautiful, and looks so good where it is. I would like to change one or two of the links however, is it possible to do that? Like, I do not need a box for recent changes, or for Featured Articles. There are some that I really would prefer, but cannot think of it at the moment. Would this be able to be changed?..Can you show me how to change it so i do not have to bother you, or is it too complicated for me Otherwise, I love its appearance. Many thanks to you

  • is there a page that displays all of the wikiMarkup code that I could use as a reference?
Not that I know of, but from the Help link at the top of your page, under Editing, there is one called Advanced Editing, that has a lot of wikimarkup. Beware, some of it is Wikipedia-specific, but as long as you test in the Sandbox or use the Preview button, you shouldn't have much trouble.

...I was looking through the BSP, you know, counting how many articles we've saved (31! Woohoo). Nothing odd about that, right?
I got into the gangsta section, and while I was counting, I noticed you've fixed the Tupac article!!! GAH! Bo, you're the best! Seriously, how on Earth did you manage to change it so much?! My God, you're amazing! Wow ;)
..*hugs*.. Jeez. Thanks a lot. That's going to be the first article people see when they go into that category :D

In other news, I spent ages writing an article about Creme Caramel... I've just finished, but when I went to search for similar topics etc, I found an article Make Flan; I've heard the two deserts are different, but wikipedia says otherwise. Would I be alright if I just pasted my info on there, or are they really different enough to warrant two articles?
I'm sorry to bother you.... again. xx

I did a little manual searching in my dictionary;;
Flan:

  • 1. food custard dessert: a custard dessert topped with caramel syrup
  • 2. food cooking open filled pie: an open, usually round, pie with a fruit or other filling
  • 3. metallurgy metal disk for stamping as coin: a circular metal blank ready to be stamped as a coin

Creme Caramel:

  • custard with caramel sauce: a custard cooked in a mold coated with caramelized sugar, which forms a sauce. It is chilled and removed from the mold before serving.

So.. WDYT?
