How to Use Private WiFi on Your iPod Touch or iPhone
So you have a password-protected Wi-fi at home, and you heard that your iPod Touch or iPhone supports it. Here's how to do it.
Steps
- 1If necessary, power up the iPhone by pressing and holding the sleep button at the left top side of the iPhone or iPod Touch until you see the Apple logo come up on the multi-touch screen.
- 2At the main screen, touch Settings.
- 3At the Settings menu, touch Wi-Fi.
- 4Slide the slider to the "On" position if it is "Off"
- 5Then, still in the Wi-Fi menu, select the network you wish to connect to.
- 6When the keyboard screen comes up, enter the password to your private Wi-Fi network using the multi-touch screen. Hit "Join" in the bottom left corner.
- 7If this doesn't work, check to be sure you are typing the password correctly. The small keyboard makes it easy to make a typo when writing in a password.
