How to Transform a Bag of Chips Into a Brooch
Are you unusual and want to stand out? Do you want to have something no one else has? You're in luck, because this article has the directions on how to turn a fat bag of chips into a miniature brooch!!!
Steps
- 1Pick what kind of chips you would like to use. Some include Sun Chips, Doritos, or Lays. It could be any bag of anything from pretzels to cookies. Choose carefully!
- 2Open up the bag very, very carefully, taking time to make sure the bag doesn't rip. Eat all the contents of the bag.
- 3After all the contents are gone, be sure to shake out any crumbs. Wipe the inside out with a small wet rag or paper towel.
- 4Place the bag on a sheet of tin foil or baking foil, and try to flatten it out as much as you possibly can. A wooden spoon works very well.
- 5Now put the foil on a cooking pan and place it in the oven for about 10-12 minutes. Be sure to keep checking on it in case anything gets burnt in the process.
- 6When the bag has shrunken to around 2/3 of its size, take it out of the oven with an oven mitt. Quickly get the wooden spoon and flatten out any kinks or curves. Leave the bag to cool for around 3-5 minutes.
- 7Once the bag has cooled, pick it up and realize that it is now much harder and much less flimsy than it was before. Cool!
- 8Get a safety pin and tape it to the bag. Voila! Your very own brooch to pin to anything you would like!
Tips
- There are endless ideas on how to wear this brooch! Pin it on your purse or bag, or put it on the lapel of your shirt. You could make a whole collection and sell them to other people in the halls!
- A huge jumbo bag of Lays potato chips will not work if you put that in the oven. Well, that is if you want an over-sized, funky brooch which is definitely going to look... strange.
Warnings
- Be careful not to burn yourself while pulling out the bag from the oven. Ask an adult for help.
- Be careful not to prick yourself with the safety pin.
- Try not to rip the bag of chips while opening them.
