How to Tie an Organza Ribbon Bow to a Chair

Organza ribbon tied into a beautiful ribbon on chairs makes an effective decoration for weddings, parties and festive events. It's easy to do and yet looks really amazing when finished.

Steps

    Assemble the things needed. These are listed below under "Things You'll Need".

    Cut the organza into the lengths required. Be sure to leave enough room to tie the bow.

    Stand at the back of the chair. Hold the fabric so that it wraps around the front of the top of the chair and meets at the back where you're standing. Leave the left side of the organza longer as this will ensure that after you've tied the bow, the bow sits evenly on the back of the chair.

    Secure to the chair by tying a large and full bow.

    Separate out the bow sections so that it looks like a proper and complete bow on the back of the chair.

    Repeat with remaining chairs.

    If wished, you can add other elements to the bow, such as dangling ornaments or ribbons, etc. This step is optional but if you do choose to do it, be sure to match the theme and colors for whatever items you're adding.

Things You'll Need

  • Organza fabric – enough to make bows for every chair being used (work on 1.6 metres per chair)
  • Scissors
  • Additional lightweight and matching dangling decorative elements, such as stars, doves, hearts, Santas, etc. (optional)
