How to Take Action to Save the Wild

Two Methods:Learning About the WildTaking Action

The outside world, the wild, provides all we need, yet we have no respect for it. We pollute it, we dig it up, and we're destroying it slowly. Few people realize that if we keep the destruction going, we will be killing ourselves because we will have no food or shelter. Be wise and take action and save our planet and yourself.

Learn to distinguish between overpopulated and endangered life forms. You can't save the wild if you don't know what's overpopulating and what's dangerously close to extinct. It's okay to kill a mosquito, because they are absolutely overpopulating, but it is a horrible thing to kill a monarch butterfly, because there aren't very many of them left on the planet. Plants are also important to learn about because they are the basis of life.

Plant a tree. It's the easiest, most basic way to start your path to save the wild. Not only does it provide more oxygen, but you're also giving homeless animals a new habitat to thrive in. Plant it anywhere you want, and water it daily. If you want, you can plant multiple trees and create your own mini-forest to enjoy.

Conserve energy. If you aren't using something, turn it off. Try to limit electronic use and enjoy outside activities. Instead of turning on the heat in the winter, get extra blankets and go to sleep in warm fleece clothes. Avoid using lightbulbs in the daytime and do it the old fashioned way, by using the sun.

Use less water. Take short showers instead of baths, because they are water wasting, and don't really clean you well. When brushing your teeth, turn the water off. If you have a swimming pool, then put the cover on it to prevent evaporation.

Eat less. If you eat less, that means less living beings or things are killed and more are living. Make sure you can eat the amount you want to eat, though. if you are still hungry, you can always eat more. However, a big plate will push you to eat everything on it.
