Touch the "Power" button, to turn on your vehicle. The Ready light on the dashboard will alert to signal you to your car's readiness to drive.

  • On newer models that are equipped with the "Smart Key" option, as long as you keep the key someplace in your vehicle(whether inside a cup holder or even in a pocket of the clothing you are using when driving the vehicle), you don't need to insert your key into the dashboard. As long as it is somewhere close by (at all times) you may leave the key out of the dashboard.
