How to Roast Coconut Using an Oven

Do you know you can roast a coconut and it taste delicious? It is very easy to prepare. All you need is a coconut and an oven.

    Choose the oven grilling setting.

    Set the oven temperature to 200 °C (392 °F).

    After 10 minutes, place the coconut direct on the oven grid shelf. The shelf should be higher up inside the oven so it is nearer to the grill iron.

    Wait for 20 minutes.

    Remove the coconut when it is slightly burnt. Wait for another 5 minutes, if you prefer your coconut more burnt.

    Enjoy! Eat the coconut with a nice cold beer or your beverage of choice.


  • Beware of getting burnt when using the oven. Use oven gloves to take out the coconut from the oven.
  • The grilled coconut might be very hot; be careful not to burn yourself. Reduce the heat by leaving it for at least two minute before eating.
