How to Restore Your Surface from the Lock Screen (Windows 8 and Up)
Are you locked out of your Microsoft Account and cant get back into your Surface? Well if so you've come to the right place to get your problem solved!
Steps
- 1Make sure that your surface is hooked up to the charging cable and is charging properly.
- 2Go to your Surface's lock screen.
- 3Hold down ⇧ Shift on your keyboard and click the white power button in the bottom right hand corner of your Surface.
- 4Continue holding ⇧ Shift and click restart on the menu that appears above the power icon. Continue holding ⇧ Shift and do not let go.
- A menu will appear with "Choose an Option" at the top. You can now let go of ⇧ Shift .
- 5Click on the "Troubleshoot" option.
- 6Find the middle square that says "Reset Your PC".
- 7Confirm that you want to reset the device. It will begin restoring.
