How to Replace an Aqua Pure AP810 Water Filter
Filters for the Aqua-Pure AP801 and AP801-1.5 are used to address sediment, taste, rust, and odor concerns with your drinking water. The Aquapure AP810 whole house water filter removes sediment, rust, and other contaminates down to 5 microns. Depending on your incoming water quality it is recommended that you replace your AP810 filter at least every 6 months.
Steps
- 1Turn off incoming water by isolating the Aqua-Pure system with existing valves on your homes water supply system.
- 2Bleed the pressure from your Aqua-Pure unit by pressing down on the red button (pressure relief button) on the top of the filter housing
- 3Take your filter wrench and slide it up from the bottom of the filter housing towards the head. Once in place turn to the left to unscrew.
- 4Remove the housing, and wipe it clean, and then insert your new Aqua-Pure AP810 water filter.
- 5Add a small amount of silicone o-ring lubricant (available at most hardware stores) to the O-ring and screw the housing back into the head.
- 6Turn back on your water supply to the system.
Tips
- Change the filter cartridge at least every 6 months. Improper installation and maintenance may result in property damage due to water leakage.
Warnings
- Do not use with water that is micro-biologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
