How to Recite the FFA Creed

All new members of the FFA have to meet certain requirements. To earn your Greenhand Degree, you have to have your Discovery Degree, at least be a freshman in high school (enrolled in Ag class), and recite the FFA Creed.

  1. 1
Study the creed. It was written by E.M. Tiffany, and should be in your FFA Student Handbook. If your Agriculture teacher did not provide you with a handbook, look it up on the National FFA website.
  2. 2
Practice speaking the creed out loud. Do it one paragraph at a time. Focus on one until you have it, and then move on to the next.
  3. 3
Once you are familiar with the creed, try reciting it all at once. Keep up the practice.
  4. 4
Once the time comes, you will recite the creed in front of your class. Start out slowly. Enunciate and do not rush. You will be given a second chance if you make a mistake.

  • Speak clearly.
  • Keep practicing. Brand it into your memory.
  • Speak clearly, and don't panic.
  • If you do good, you may be selected to represent your FFA chapter in a contest publicly reciting the FFA Creed.

  • Don't rush through it.
  • Don't blow it off.
  • Don't worry if you make a few mistakes. You can retry, or keep guiding yourself through it.
