How to Read a Book in Your Quiet Place

Everyone has a quiet place- for some people, it's a little nook in their room, for other people, it's outside in the grass, and for others, it's lounging on the couch. Whatever your quiet place may be, reading is a great way to pass the time in the quiet place, and, best of all, keeps it quiet.

Get a good book. This is actually harder than you may think- there are a good amount of poor books out there. Just find one that you think suits your mood just then- it doesn't have to be new, and you could have read it a dozen times before.

Find something to nibble on. A full lunch would sound nice, but unless you are quite gifted in that you can eat a sandwich and chips and a pickle while reading a book, and pay full attention to the book, you may want to stick to the finger foods. Something simple is best- crackers or sandwich quarters are normally safe bets. Just don't get anything that will ruin the pages of the book.

Make sure you don't have anything else going on for a bit. Nothing ruins a nice book in your quiet place like having to dash off in the middle of it. If you are quite sure nothing important will come up, you could even go so far as to unplug your phone, and turn off your cell phone. It's called your quiet place for a reason- keep it quiet!

Make sure you have plenty of whatever you need. Don't only bring one can of soda, bring two, just in case you still want some more after you've finished the first. The goal here is to make sure you don't leave your quiet place until you honestly want to leave it, not because you have to get more of something.
