For a child, going to the doctor may be scary, but here's some tips to calm them.

Steps

    Prepare them for the visit. Let them know as much as you know. Make sure they understand why they're going to the doctor.

    Explain to them everything that could happen (hospitals, shots, IVs, etc...) but (if you think) you can tell them it probably won't happen to them.

    Tell them that they'll probably have to wait in a waiting room. Teach them the proper waiting room etiquette.
