How to Prepare a Weekend Warrior's Survival Kit

Are you and your friends planning on having a survival camp out on the weekend? Make the most of your weekend by surviving like a warrior! Follow these simple steps below and you'll find out how to prepare a warrior's survival kit.

  1. 1
    Purchase the items.
    • If you do not have all of the items you need, purchase them from a reliable source. When camping out, you need to have the best equipment - don't buy cheap, buy smart.
  2. 2
Pack the items tight into a backpack.
    • The size of the backpack may vary to your needs. Too big and it becomes too heavy; Too small and you wont be able to carry all of your equipment.
  3. 3
Tell your family and/or friends where you are going.
    • Be sure to tell them:
      • Where you're going.
      • What you're taking with you.
      • Who you're going with.
      • What time you'll be expected back.
  4. 4
When you return, let your family and/or friends know that you are back.

  • Take what you are doing seriously. There is a huge difference between camping and surviving. Surviving can be a miserable experience.
  • Do not panic if you become lost. Stay calm at all times.
  • Be prepared in the event of a casualty.
  • Go surviving with someone that has experience.
  • Take your time while you are walking to or from your survival trip. Mechanical injuries are bad news in a survival situation.
  • Do not get discouraged if something you try, such as building a fire without a fire source doesn't work the first time. Even if you try for a couple of hours and are not successful, take a break and then come back and try again.

  • Walking off and leaving your friends can be dangerous. Always go in twos.
  • Improper use of equipment can cause damage to yourself or others around you.
