How to Practice for the NAB Test on wikiHow

Boosters have the privilege of reviewing and editing new articles using the New Article Boost (NAB) tool. The important job of a booster is deciding whether articles should be fully published or mostly hidden from search results. From NAB, boosters also have the ability to give Rising Stars to the best new articles. They can also change titles, vote to delete articles, and decide whether Requested Topics are appropriate. To become a Booster, contributors must have a history of quality editing and pass a test. You can learn how to practice for that test by starting at step one of this article.

Practice expanding stubs, whether by hand from the stub category, or through the Stub expansion tool. You will need to expand stubs in new article boost if you feel that they need a bit more expansion before promotion.

    8
Go to a list of the newest pages on wikiHow and make a decision about the articles. Decide whether they should be promoted or demoted, and why; it's also recommended to write your thoughts on the discussion page.
    • If an article needs major improvement or doesn't have enough information to be useful, it should be demoted. Articles should also be demoted if they receive templates, such as {{accuracy}}, an {{nfd}} template, or a {{stub}}. Vice versa, if an article is in good condition, has no negative templates, and has sufficient and useful information, it should be promoted.
