How to Play Chair Gliders

Chair gliders is a game that is played from a chair and then turns into a fun obstacle course with the aim of nabbing the flag. You'll need a decent area for playing in, to ensure it's safe.

    Find a big area where you can play the game.

    Spread out the supplies. Lay the mat down in the bottom right hand corner of the room. Put the chair in front of the mat. Then put the 3 jump ropes in a squiggly line on the side of mat. After that, put the 4 hula hoops in front of the jump ropes. Next, put the exercise ball on the side at the right of the hula hoops. Next to the exercise ball should be the 4 soft balls and the basketball hoop. Finally at the end of the obstacle course should be 4 flag on one side next to the basketball hoop and the other 4 on the other side of the basketball hoops.

    Pick one person on your team to go first.

    Go through the obstacle course in order.
    • Roll yourself in the chair until you get to the mat.
    • Get out of your chair jump back and forth through the jump ropes.
    • Also, from the jump ropes go to the hula hoops and jump through all of them.
    • Then, roll on the exercise ball on the left of the hula hoops till you get to the soft ball area.
    • Try to shoot all the softballs in the basketball hoop.
    • Next, get the flag.
    • Go back through the obstacle course the opposite way to get to your team.

    Repeat the step till all players have gone through the course once.

    Decide on the winning team. The team that gets all of the flags first wins.
    • In case if you get a tie: To break the tie you pick one person from each team. They need to go and they get 60 seconds to go through the obstacle course. Whoever gets there before 60 seconds, the person who gets there before the other player, wins.


  • Respect the materials.
  • Use teamwork to succeed.
  • If you fall or forget to do the station, you have to start over.


  • Don't get hurt to prevent that keep your hands on the chair and your feet on the ground.
  • Try not to trip by looking where you are steeping.

  • 1 mat
  • 3 jump ropes
  • 4 hula hoop
  • 1 exercise ball
  • 4 soft balls
  • 2 and a half inches of string
  • 8 alligator clips
  • 1 basketball hoop
  • 8 flags
  • 2 teams with 4 people
