How to Nose Manual on a Skateboard

A nose manual is a wheelie done on a skateboard with the front 2 wheels.

Steps

    Get going at a moderate speed, but not too fast. It can be done stationary, but it is a bit harder.

    Place your feet in nollie stance, which is your front foot on the nose, and back foot on the middle of the board.

    Apply pressure on the nose until the back wheels rise up.

    Keep balance, watching for obstacles.

    When you are done manualing, or are about to lose balance, push your back foot down until the wheels touch the ground again.

Tips

  • Don't push down too hard on the nose. It will cause the nose to hit the ground, causing you most likely to fall.
  • Nose manuals are a bit harder than manuals, so try manuals before this trick.
  • It may feel awkward in nollie stance at first, but you will get used to it.
  • You may want to try holding on to something before you do it without holding on to anything.
  • Keep your arms in the air, it may look funny but helps balance.

Warnings

  • If you bump into something when nose manualing, you will fall and it will hurt.
  • Watch out for things like rocks, sticks and other things that will get in your way.
  • Wear protective gear when you first start out.
