How to Move, Copy, and Delete Files on Gavitex

Gavitex is the rebranded DepositStorage, the cloud storage component of Depositfiles. It is now an independent service, separate from Depositfiles. Just like before, you can manage your files on Gavitex directly from its website. You can move, copy, and delete files with just a few steps.

Method 1
Moving Files

    Sign into your Gavitex account. Go to Gavitex website and sign in using your DepositFiles or Gavitex username and password.

    Click the cloud icon from the left panel menu. This will take you to your main storage folder.

    Locate the files you want to move. You can navigate through your folders by clicking on them.

    Select the files. Do this by clicking on them one by one. The selected files will be highlighted.

    Initiate the move. Right-click on any of the highlighted files and a submenu of tasks will show up. Select “Move to” from the menu.
    • You can also access “Move” from the header toolbar.

    Choose the destination folder. A window will appear with your Gavitex folder directory. Navigate through your folders and select the folder where you want to move the files to.

    Click the “Move” button once you’ve chosen a destination folder. The selected files will immediately be moved to their new location.

Method 2
Copying Files

    Click the cloud icon from the left panel menu. This will take you to your main storage folder.

    Locate the files you want to copy. You can navigate through your folders by clicking on them.

    Select the files. Do this by clicking on them one by one. The selected files will be highlighted.

    Identify destination folder. A window will appear with your Gavitex folder directory. Navigate through your folders and select the folder where you want copies of the files to be created in.

    Click the “Copy” button once you’ve identified a destination folder. The selected files will immediately be copied to the set location.

Method 3
Deleting Files

    Click the cloud icon from the left panel menu. This will take you to your main storage folder.

    Locate the files you wish to delete. You can navigate through your folders by clicking on them.

    Select the files. Do this by clicking on them one by one. The selected files will be highlighted.

    Initiate deletion. Right-click on any of the highlighted files and a submenu of tasks will show up. Select “Delete” from the menu. A confirmation message will appear.
    • You can also access “Delete” from the header toolbar.

    Click the “Yes” button to confirm the deletion of the selected files. The selected files will be removed.
    • If you want to permanently remove the selected files, tick the “Don’t move to trash folder” option on the confirmation message box. Otherwise, leave this option blank. All deleted files moved to the Trash folder can still be recovered.
