How to Monkey Manual on a Skateboard

The "Monkey Manual" is a freestyle trick in a way.It's a handy trick to learn for extreme turning on a skateboard.You can do it anywhere where the ground is smooth and where you feel comfortable.

Steps

    Put your feet on both bolts on the skateboard; your feet should be a little over the edge of the board.

    Slowly put your weight onto your back while still keeping a small amount of weight on the top of the board, (this will balance you out so you don't fall). By this time, only two opposite wheels should be on the ground.

    To end the trick, simply put pressure back onto the top of the board, which will "pull" you back to the ground.

    Your trucks have to be tight for this, or else your wheels will scrape your board and might even result in you falling off.

Tips

  • Don't slam your feet back whilst trying to get off the ground. This will only result in falling off your skateboard. Try to do it slowly.
  • Try this move on the grass first while you get the hang of it.
  • Make sure you have a lot of land to move on. As the trick will turn your board with power, (this is why it's a good trick to turn).
