How to Make Turkey Meatloaf

Using ground turkey breast in meatloaf recipes may be the best option if you want to cut down on calories and fat content. If you want to make a meal with a healthier approach, try this turkey meatloaf.

Ingredients

  • 5 lbs (2.3 kg) ground turkey breast
  • 3 cups (260g) yellow onions (2 large onions)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (1/2 teaspoon dried)
  • 1/3 cup (92g) Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 cup (180g) chicken stock
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 cups plain dry bread crumbs
  • 3 extra-large eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 cup (180g) ketchup

    Preheat the oven to 325ºF/160ºC.

    Cook the onions, olive oil, seasonings, and thyme over medium-low heat. Cook for about 15 minutes or until the onions appear translucent in color.

    Mix the chicken stock, tomato paste, and Worcestershire sauce into the pan.
