Tips

  • Some birds can be very aggressive when it comes to handling their food. Approach their food in a kind manner and don't rush towards them. Some birds (especially small ones) get scared very easily and out of their own protection, will peck you or try to bite.
  • A birds food and water should be changed at least once every 2 or 3 days. When cleaning their cage(s), it always make a bird feel good if you give them a bath. Birds can tolerate temperatures colder than a human can. Make their bathwater about room temperature. Or as close as you can. And most birds like to have a bath on a shallow dish or plate. With water up to their ankles.
