Cut the first strawberry. Cut it about a quarter way from the top. This top is to be the hat, the rest is to make the body. Hence, the body part should be much more substantial than the hat part.

Place the hat on the top of this piped cream. Do this gently, as you don't want to squash down the hat. Pipe a much smaller bit of whipped cream at the very top of the hat, to form a pompom.

Arrange all of the Santas on a large plate. Place in the refrigerator until needed but if uncovered, don't leave in there more than one to two hours, or they may start to take on fridge odors and won't taste as nice.

Tips

  • If you don't like whipped cream, you can use frosting.
  • To hull a strawberry fast, use a straw and stuff through (not all the way), from the leafy part and take the straw out and remove leftover leaves.
  • If for a party make, it the day before and refrigerate it. However, they must be inside an airtight container to stop the transference of other food odors.

Things You'll Need

  • Piping bag
  • Large serving plate
  • Container with high sides and lid if storing for more than 1-2 hours
