How to Make Salt Glaze



Salt glaze is used in baking for savoury baked goods. It is simple to make and use.

Ingredients

  • 10ml / 2 tsp salt
  • 30ml / 2 tbsp water

Steps

    Put the water into a small saucepan.

    Pour in the salt and cook over gentle heat until the salt dissolves.

    Use a pastry brush to coat the savoury baked items with the cooled salt glaze.

  • A little bit of anything salty goes a long way. Be sparing in its use.
