How to Make Passion Fruit Icing



Passion fruit icing or frosting is always enjoyable atop a plain cake. It goes especially well with plain or vanilla cakes and cupcakes. It is also suitable to use on cookies and shortbread.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup icing sugar mixture
  • 10 g butter, melted
  • 2 passion fruit, halved and pulp removed for use

Steps

    Sift the icing sugar mixture into a bowl.

    Add the butter and passionfruit pulp. Stir the ingredients together until the icing is smooth.

    Spread on cake or cupcakes as required.

Tips

  • If the pulp is insufficient to create a smooth paste, add a little water but be careful not to add too much or it will dilute the icing too much and make it runny.
