How to Make Paneer Sweet Corn Cutlets

How about a vegetarian snack that is wholesome and easy to make? It can be served as a side dish with fried rice and noodles or as a starter.

Ingredients

  • 250 gms paneer/hard cottage cheese
  • 1 potato
  • 1/2 cup sweet corn kernels
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • 2 Tbsp maida
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • Coriander leaves or parsley-few sprigs
  • Salt-to taste
  • Lime juice-1 tsp
  • Oil for frying

Steps

    Grate the paneer.
    • Boil the grated paneer.

    Mash the potato.
    • Add the mashed potato to paneer.

    Boil the sweet corn in little water for 3 minutes.

    Drain water and add to paneer.

    Finely chop your green chillies and add coriander leaves.

    Add salt and squeeze a few drops of lime juice.

    Mix the paneer, potato, corn etc mixture.

    To the maida add some water to make it a thin paste.

    Dip the flattened balls in the maida paste.

    When you have 5-6 cutlets ready either deep fry in oil or shallow fry in a thick bottom pan till they are golden brown.

    Drain on kitchen paper so that the excess oil gets absorbed.

Tips

  • Make the balls firm and tight or they will open when deep frying
