How to Make Mini Meatloaves

This meatloaf version is created using muffin pans instead of a regular loaf pan. Simple to make and delicious to eat. Here is how to make mini meatloaves.

Yields 6 servings


  • 1/2 cup (80g) finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup (75g) finely chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 cup (54g) dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup (62g) barbecue sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 pounds (680g) lean ground beef
  • Ketchup, for drizzle

    Preheat the oven to 375ºF/190ºC.

    Mix the onion, green pepper, bread crumbs, egg, and barbecue sauce in a large bowl. Add and mix in the ground beef. Combine everything thoroughly.

    Add about 1/3 cup to each muffin cup. Top each meatloaf cup with ketchup.

    Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or the meat is completely cooked through.


  • Using ground turkey instead of ground beef makes a healthier and less greasy meal.

    This recipe was successfully tried with a 6-muffin pan and a 12-mini muffin pan due to extra meat. The ones from the mini muffin pan are terrific poppers.
