How to Make Kimchi Wontons

Almost any tasty food makes for a perfect filling in a wonton wrapper, whether it's Nutella, crab, or cream cheese. Try these deep fried snacks as a small lunch, snack, or at a picnic. Here is how to make kimchi wontons.

Ingredients

  • 1 jar (14 oz, 400g) kimchi
  • 1 can Spam
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 8 oz, 226g cream cheese
  • Canola oil, for deep frying

    Prepare the spam by grating it into a medium bowl. Dice the kimchi.

    Thoroughly combine the cream cheese, spam, and kimchi together.

    Place a spoonful (about a tablespoon) of the kimchi mixture in the center on each wonton wrapper.

    Lightly brush the egg white on the wonton wrapper edges. Fold and seal the wonton in a triangle shape.

    Add the canola oil to a wok, leaving at least two inches of space from the top. Make sure that the oil temperature is at least 400ºF (200ºC).
