How to Make Kaada

Kaada is a Homemade medicinal drink for cough and cold. It is originated in India. It has an amazing effect. The cough and cold will vanish within few days after drinking it everyday. Read on, to know how to make Kaada.


  • Two to three cloves
  • 14 inch (0.6 cm) of cinnamon stick
  • One teaspoon of fennel seeds
  • Two cardamoms
  • 14 inch (0.6 cm) of ginger
  • One teaspoon of jaggery
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • One teaspoon of coffee powder
  • Two to three cups of water

    Make a powder of black pepper and jaggery.

    Slice the piece of ginger into many small pieces. Add the small slices of ginger into the powdered jaggery and black pepper.

    Open the cardamoms from the side and add it into the mixture of black pepper, ginger and jaggery.

    Add one-fourth inch of cinnamon stick, 2-3 cloves and one teaspoon fennel seeds into it.

    Add the mixture of jaggery, black pepper, cinnamon stick, cloves, fennel seeds, cardamom and ginger into 3-4 cups of hot water.

    Pour the mixture through a sieve.

    Keep the liquid and discard the rest. Add one teaspoon of coffee powder, stir well, and serve!


  • It is more effective if served in hot or warm water.
