How to Make Hazelnut Bacon Cookies

A delicious savory cookie treat. This will make anywhere from 30 to 40 bacon-flavored cookies.

Ingredients

  • 1.4 oz hazelnuts
  • 2.1 oz bacon
  • 2.8 oz melted butter
  • 5.2 oz all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 oz ground almonds
  • 3.5 oz grated cheese
  • 2 eggs

Steps

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

    Process the hazelnuts in the food processor until coarsely chopped. Gently toast in a skillet.

    Cut the bacon into fine and small pieces.

    Place the flour, baking powder, ground almonds and cheese into a mixing bowl. Mix well.

    Pour in the melted butter. Add the eggs, toasted hazelnuts and bacon pieces. Mix well after each addition.

    Form small balls of dough in your hand. Place down on the baking sheet or silicon sheet. Leave space to spread between each cookie. Lightly pat down.

    Place in the oven. Bake for 15 minutes.

    Remove from the oven when golden brown. Serve warm or cold.

Tips

  • Store in an airtight container for a few days or freeze. To thaw, place in the oven at 300 degrees for 10 minutes.
