How to Make Ghost Peanut Butter Balls

It's the spooky time of the year: Halloween! Here is a really simple yet eerie Halloween candy to make. It takes no more than five minutes to prepare.

Ingredients

  • Peanut butter
  • Milk
  • Honey
  • Red food coloring
  • Flour
  • Confectioners sugar
  • White chocolate or thick cream

    Gather your ingredients.
    • Flour is optional but it is used for getting a thicker consistency.
    • Honey is optional too.

    Mix in the peanut butter, very little bit of milk and one teaspoon of honey (honey is optional).

    Use flour to thicken if the mixture is too loose.

    Shape it into balls.

    Pop these into the freezer for no more than 30 to 40 seconds. You do this to let the balls thicken a bit more so that they can be easily molded.

    While the balls are in the freezer, mix your red* food coloring in with the cream or white chocolate.

    Get the balls out and coat them with powdered sugar.
    • They should be completely covered.

    Add in the red eyes and an oval shaped mouth with the help of the red chocolate or cream. This turns our peanut butter balls into scary red eyed ghosts!

Tips

  • You can skip the milk and honey and simply mix flour with peanut butter and roll them into balls.
  • You can change the countenance of your spooky balls. That's up to you.
  • Add some sprinkles to make them cute!
  • If you don't want your peanut butter balls to be too sweet as they are covered with sugar, you can even dip these into melted white chocolate and let them set.

Warnings

  • These balls are very sweet. If you don't want them to be too sweet, mix in only peanut butter and flour. After they set, dip them in melted white chocolate instead of sugar.
  • Be careful while molding the balls, try not to break them.
  • Store in the freezer if you need to preserve them for longer.
