How to Make Fuzzballs

Do you need a portable friend? If the answer is yes, a fuzzball is just what you need.

Buy sparkly pom-pom balls, googly eyes, and foam hearts at a craft store. You could also cut a heart of the appropriate size from a piece of stiff paper, felt, or craft foam.
    • If you want, you can make your own pom-pom out of yarn. It may come out a bit larger than the store-bought ones.
  2. Image titled Make Fuzzballs Step 2
Use glue to attach the eyes anywhere on the pom-pom. This side will become the front.
  3. Image titled Make Fuzzballs Step 3
Glue the foam heart to the bottom of the pom-pom to make the feet.
    • Don't put the feet on so that the eyes are too high up, unless you want your fuzzball to look like a frog.

Give your new critter a name.

  • The top of the heart should be facing the front of the pom-pom.
  • Make sure you like the name, because you'll have your little friend for a long time.
  • Fuzzballs are easy to make, so make several in different colors and share them with your friends. They make good toppers for gift boxes, too.
  • You can also twist some pipe cleaners to make legs and arms, and glue them onto the pom-pom.
  • Choose or cut the heart so that it's about the same size as the pom-pom.

  • Don't give a fuzzball to a child who is young enough to be likely to put it in his/her mouth. The small parts might fall off, or even get eaten!
