How to Make Fudge Frosting

Fudge, fudge, fudge... nothing is better than fudge frosting matching a chocolate or fudge cake.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of margarine or butter
  • 1 tablespoon of light corn syrup
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla

Steps

    Get a 2-quart saucepan and mix the cocoa and granulated sugar over a heated range.

    Pour in the milk, corn syrup, margarine, and salt. Stir until mixture heats up to a boil.

    Leave it to boil for another 3 minutes. Stir every so often and then remove from heat.

    Slowly pour in the powdered sugar and vanilla and beat everything together.

Tips

  • This recipe can frost and cover both an 8 or 9-inch cake layer.
