How to Make Frosted Walnuts

Frosted walnuts are an ideal treat for the holiday seasons and they're also a good gift. Easy to make, you'll be enjoying the compliments for your good taste!

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of egg white
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 2 cups walnuts, freshly shelled are best

    Preheat the oven to 125ºC/260ºF. Place baking paper (parchment paper) onto the baking tray (baking sheet).

    Mix together the sugar, egg white and cinnamon in a small bowl.

    Dip the walnuts into the mixture. Coat each walnut thoroughly.

    Set each coated walnut out on the tray. Do not overlap any; give each walnut plenty of space.

    Place in the oven. Bake enough to dry off the sticky mixture. This won't take long, so keep an eye on them.
