How to Make Cream Cheese Casserole

Any type of casserole is awesome and great for a small get together. Cream cheese casserole is even better! Try it!

Ingredients

  • 1 8-ounce packaged ruffled egg noodles
  • 1 cup dairy sour cream
  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground meat
  • 1 15-ounce can tomato sauce with tomato pieces
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • Shredded cheddar cheese

Steps

    Cook and drain the noodles according to the package directions.

    Mix the sour cream and cream cheese together.

    Stir in the onions and the garlic and set them aside for now.

    Brown the ground meat, making sure it gets crumbled up as it cooks.

    Stir in the tomato sauce, oregano, Parmesan cheese, allspice, salt and pepper.

    Simmer for 10 minutes.

    In a 2 quart baking dish, half the noodles, half of the sour cream mixture, and half of the meat.

    Repeat the above step and then top with the cheddar cheese.

    Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

    Bake for 30 minutes at 350 °F (177 °C) or until heated through.
