How to Make Christmas Pudding (for Horses)

Everyone loves Christmas! And every one should have the chance to enjoy it! Including equine animals!

Ingredients

  • Round bread roll
  • Golden syrup or molasses (optional)
  • Carrots
  • Apples
  • Pears (optional)
  • Polos

Steps

    First cut a hole in your roll as if you are cutting the stem out of the strawberry.

    Keep the top part of the bread safe! You will need it later!

    Cut your carrots, apples and pears into thin sticks.

    Arrange your sticks in the roll with at least three pointing up, out of the bowl.

    Place a polo on each pointing up stick.

    Pour golden syrup in to help it stay together (optional).

    Place the "lid" of bread on top.

    Put a splodge of golden syrup on top (optional).

    In the splodge put some pear and polos in the the shape of mistletoe on top (optional).

    Either put in feed or feed by hand!

Tips

  • If you have more than one horse then double the ingredients.
  • If your pony is a bit overweight, cut the roll in half and give him half one day and half the next.
  • If you have more than one overweight horse then cut up the pudding into an appropriate amount.
  • Don't overfill the roll.

Warnings

  • Remember to ask permission of the owner of a strange horse before giving them a Christmas pudding!
  • If your horse has laminitis or diabetes then do not give this to them!
