How to Make Cashew Milk

Have you wondered if you can make milk from cashew nuts? Sure can. Cashew milk, is not only nutritious in iron, magnesium, and copper, but a good substitute aside from soy milk. It's delicious in desserts and with cereal.


  • 3 cups (710 ml) water
  • 1/2 cup (70g) cashews

    Add the cashews and water to the blender.

    Blend the mixture for 30 seconds to a minute. Listen, as it's done when you don't hear anything.

    Pour the cashew milk in a jug. Cashew milk can be stored in the refrigerator for a few days. If the cashews have settled to the bottom, just re-blend it again for a few seconds.

  • You can add dates to the mixture before blending to make a sweeter milk.
  • The blended milk can be strained through muslin or a very fine sieve to remove the nut fiber.
  • 2 tablespoons of agave nectar or honey can also give a sweet taste to it.
  • Use cashew milk in your Chicken Veggie Soup. Yummy and Healthy!
  • If you can't digest nuts that well, pre-soak the cashews for about 6 to 12 hours before using.[1]
