How to Make Beef and Barley Soup

This creamy soup filled with crunchy veggies and beans and bites of tender beef is a delicious dinner choice for any family!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 1 1/4 pounds boneless sirloin steak, cut into 3/4-inch cubes
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 3/4 cup barley
  • 1 10 oz. package of frozen mixed vegetables

Steps

    Heat the vegetable oil in a saucepan over medium heat.

    Sauté the beef and heat it up in batches, and once they are browned, place in a bowl, taking about 4 minutes per batch.

    Return all the beef to saucepan.

    Stir in the broth, barley, and 5 cups of water.
