How to Make Banana Chocolate Bites

Tasty and easy to make, these banana chocolate bites can be made by the kids for their afternoon tea snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas, medium
  • 125g milk or dark chocolate chips or drops
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil (coconut/peanut/sunflower oil, etc. are good choices)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate sprinkles

Method 1
Preparing the Bananas

    Peel the bananas. Cut off each end.

    Cut the bananas into slices measuring about 3 centimeter (1.2 in).

Method 2
Coating the Bananas

    Spread the chocolate sprinkles over wax paper on a flat surface.

    Melt the chocolate chips/drops in a double boiler sitting over hot water or in the microwave

    Remove from heat/microwave when the chocolate has melted. Add the oil and stir until smooth.

    Skewer a banana slice. Dip the slice into the melted chocolate. Cover the slice.

    Roll the chocolate covered slice in the sprinkles.

    Place the slice onto wax paper. Leave to set at room temperature.

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
