How to Make an Apple Cake

Here is how to make a delicious apple pie with marzipan, raisins and almond flakes.

Ingredients

  • 10-12 persons:
  • 250 g butter
  • 325 g sugar cane
  • 250 g marzipan
  • 4 eggs
  • 1½ dl milk
  • 300 g wheat flour
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 4-5 apples
  • 75 g raisins
  • 100 g almond flakes

    Cane sugar and butter soft.

    Grate the marzipan and stir the mixture and then whisk in the eggs one at a time.

    Whisk the milk in, run flour, cinnamon and baking powder into batter and stir it together.

    Cut the apples into cubes.

    Pipes apples, raisins and almond flakes in the dough, save some apples and almond flakes for garnish.

    Getting the dough into a large greased tin, 26 centimeter (10.2 in) in diameter.

    Sprinkle with diced apple and almond flakes.

    Bake cake at 160 °C (320 °F) for 1-1½ hours.

    Mark it with a knitting needle on the cake is baked. When the stick is clean after a dot in the middle is the cake ready.

    Cool and serve the cake warm sprinkled with icing sugar. Great with sour cream or vanilla ice touched.
