How to Make a Violet and Sage Cold Sore Cream



If you have cold sores, chapped or split lips, this is a useful homemade remedy.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp of fresh sage, chopped finely
  • 2 tbsp of violet leaves, chopped finely
  • 4 tbsp sweet almond oil
  • Additional 4 tbsp almond oil
  • 4 tbsp beeswax or cocoa butter

Steps

    Mix the sage and violet leaves with the almond oil.

    Put into a small jar with an airtight lid.

    Leave in a warm place for one month. Shake the jar every day.

    Melt the beeswax. Pour the melted beeswax and additional almond oil into a bowl.

    Strain the infused leaves and oil into the bowl.

    Beat the mixture together. It should cool down quickly.

    Place the mixture into an airtight container with lid.

    Apply. Use twice daily on cold sore or sore lips. It is safe to use more frequently if wished.

Tips

  • Always use clean fingers to apply. Otherwise, you risk introducing germs to the jar's contents.
  • Store in a cool place.
