How to Make a Soda Bottle Noisemaker for Football Games

A soda bottle noisemaker is simple to make and is a fun way to be noisy at your favorite sports game. Here is how to make one.

  1. 1
Find a suitable bottle. A standard size soda bottle is ideal.
  2. 2
Clean the bottle well to remove sticky soda residue. Allow to dry before making the noisemaker.
  3. 3
Place coins into the water bottle. Seal using the cap or lid that came with the bottle. Glue in place if it's not secure enough.
    • If you don't have coins, use anything else that will make noise when shaken about, such as bottle caps, pebbles, shells, etc.
  4. 4
Decorate the bottle using your team colors. Use spray paint or paint suitable for plastic. Allow to dry before using.
    • Add logos, symbols and designs if wished.
  5. 5
Take your noisemaker to the game. Shake it about and have a great time.

  • It might be easier to spray the bottle's inside to ensure the paint doesn't peel off the outside. If you do this, don't add the coins or other noise sources until the paint has dried.
  • If it's safe to whirl your noisemaker around, tie some twine to the neck to allow for this. However, don't do this in a crowded stadium.

  • If you use coins, it might attract interest from someone who'd like to keep your money!
