How to Make a Single Serving Cake

A single serving cake is very simple to make. It is your personal piece of cake in a bowl.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Betty Crocker cake mix
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 tsp oil
  • Cooking spray

    Mix the ingredients together in a small (cereal size) bowl.

    Spray a separate bowl with cooking spray, and pour mixture into sprayed bowl.

    Microwave approximately 90 seconds (1 min. 1/2).

    Add any toppings. Serve and eat.

Tips

  • Microwave cooking times can vary. Adjust time 5 or 10 seconds if necessary.
  • Add beautiful designs and sprinkles to personalize the cake.
  • Use Betty Crocker cake mixes or the Krusteaz mix as suggested in the recipe. These mixes provide better volume and texture for microwave cooking.
  • All recipes can be made in cereal size bowls. Plastic, paper, and foam bowls are great for easy clean-up. The 20-ounce size works best.
  • When the cake gets out of the oven, be sure to check it with a wooden toothpick to make sure it it cooked fully. I it has cake on it, it's not cooked fully. If it doesn't, then it is.

Warnings

  • Will be hot when out of microwave. Let cool for about 1 minute.
