How to Make a Pear and Cinnamon Yogurt Smoothie

Pear flesh forms a deliciously smooth and velvety smoothie. The spice cinnamon complements the pear flavor beautifully, while a little honey sweetens the smoothie nicely. This smoothie is ideal to make when you've got lots of pears––they must be nice and ripe to work well in this recipe.


This makes 2 smoothies:

  • 2 pears, ripe and soft
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons cream
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Honey, to taste
  • Pinch nutmeg
  • Cinnamon sugar, for garnish (optional)

    Chop the pears into small pieces that will easily fit into the blender. You can leave the skin on, the roughage and vitamins it contains are good for you.

    Put the chopped pears into a smoothie blender. If you don't have a smoothie blender, most other blenders will work.

    Add the yogurt, cream, cinnamon, honey and nutmeg.

    Blend the smoothie ingredients until silky smooth.

    Pour the drink into glasses. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar for added cinnamon flavor.

    Serve immediately. Your pear and cinnamon yogurt smoothie is ready to be served and is best enjoyed as soon as it has been made.


  • Do not give to children below 3 years.
